Turnkey Subsurface irrigation Delivering 5 pivots systems & infrastructure

In 2022, five center-pivot irrigation systems were delivered and installed in Ukraine’s Odesa region by Metzer. The turnkey project included complete infrastructure development, remote control integration, and supplementary drip irrigation in uncovered areas—ensuring maximum field coverage and irrigation efficiency.

How We Made It Happen

Challenge

Establishing center pivot irrigation across multiple sites required more than just delivering the machines. Each location needed a customized design, new infrastructure, and the integration of various irrigation methods to ensure complete field coverage, along with training and support for farm staff to achieve long-term operational success.

Resolution

Between May and July 2022, five pivot systems were installed along with the full development of supporting infrastructure, including earthworks, main pipelines, and control systems. Metzer provided consultation, project design, installation, and commissioning, as well as training for hydraulic engineers and operators. Where pivot coverage was limited, subsurface or surface drip systems were installed to maximize efficiency and productivity throughout the entire cultivated area.
