Turnkey Irrigation Projects Organic Flower Cultivation in University Greenhouse
A 1,128 m² drip-irrigated greenhouse for organic flower production was delivered to Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi in Thailand. The project was completed in 2020 and is part of the university’s advanced agricultural research and demonstration center.
How We Made It Happen
Challenge
Designing a high-efficiency irrigation solution for a university greenhouse cultivating a wide variety of delicate flowering species required precise water control, minimal runoff, and flexible emitter positioning. The system also had to align with organic certification requirements and academic research standards.
Resolution
Metzer’s Gali PC on-line drippers were chosen for their pressure-compensated performance and reliable flow rate, guaranteeing even irrigation throughout all flowerbeds. An intuitive control system allows the academic staff to oversee irrigation cycles, run experiments, and fine-tune nutrient delivery for various species. This has resulted in a flourishing, research-focused flower greenhouse that advances sustainable agriculture and botanical research.
