How We Made It Happen
Challenge
Developing a fully automated irrigation system for Thailand’s first large-scale government medical cannabis cultivation—delivered amid the logistical and operational challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The system needed to meet stringent agronomic standards, support diverse climate zones, and adhere to advanced security protocols.
Resolution
Metzer delivered a comprehensive solution for four climate-controlled greenhouses spanning 3,800 m². The project included design and installation of RO-treated water supply, climate-specific fertigation systems, and a centralized control room. Metzer’s Gali PCND 2 l/h on-line drippers ensured accurate irrigation per plant. Advanced automation, along with full surveillance and security infrastructure, enabled consistent operation and high grower satisfaction despite pandemic-related constraints.
